Level-5 Is Reviving A Series?

The company Level-5 has gained incredible popularity in recent years, as the ones who went from making the Dark Cloud series, to working on the quirky Yo-Kai Watch franchise. Recently Famitsu magazine has teased some information about an interview with the president of Level-5, Akihiro Hino, to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary, where they mention there's a possible revival for one of their titles.

This translation doesn't come from an official source, and even the word 'possible,' means that there's no guarantee that there will be any kind of revival, but with the library of video game franchises that Level-5 has, it's interesting to speculate.

What makes things hard about figuring out what game franchise it might be though, is considering what Level-5 actually owns, as many of the games they've worked on are owned by other companies. For example, despite working on Dragon Quest VIII and IX, Level-5 certainly doesn't own that series, Square Enix does. Ni no Kuni was worked on with the help of Studio Ghibli, though they recently came out with a game in the series, so that hardly fits the idea of a 'revival.'

Fans loved the Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, and White Knight games, and Level-5 has many others that people would love to see revitalized, but for now, we'll have to wait and see what Famitsu has to reveal from their interview with Akihiro Hino.
